The Bloodkin – “War never changes.”
Bloodkin make up the bulk of the armed forces in the
wasteland. They represent a wide variety of personality
types, motivations, and fighting styles. The one thing
they all share in common is the struggle to survive in
a hostile world where pretty much everything wants to
kill you. They are weapon experts, in peak physical
condition, capable of wielding heavy weaponry and the
sturdiest of armors. They know how to operate on the
move and have honed their survival skills. The Vidaari
employ them in a number of roles, from Skrike-Cavalry
to infantry, marines and commando units, they are
sent in when killing needs done.
1st rank- Armed and Armored: The Bloodkin has been training
in warfare from youth. He is an expert with weapons and is
comfortable wearing his armor for extended periods of time.
2nd rank- On the March: Moving a unit of armed men and
women around requires a lot of supplies – food & water chief among them. The Bloodkin is not only conditioned to carry large loads, he also understands how to make supplies last, conserving their use.
3rd rank- Battle-Hardened: Few warriors are harder to bring down in combat than the Bloodkin. Through rigorous daily training and fighting, he can shrug off minor wounds and quickly react to changes in combat.
4th rank- I call it Vera: Over time, the Bloodkin finds that one special weapon they just know they were meant to be with. Maintained and modified with love, their primary weapon is now a finely honed killing implement.
5th rank- Single Combat: The wasteland has been a chaotic, ever-shifting climate since mankind re-emerged from their holes in the ground following The War. Those who shaped the world did so by distinguishing themselves, often through combat. The Bloodkin may single out an enemy, focusing solely on his destruction, or he can challenge an opponent as his unit’s champion, drawing him into a duel to settle disputes when all out warfare is untenable.
